To help us get started on resolving your issue, could you please let me know the product name and the model number of the HP device so that I can assist you further?

Also, could you please uninstall the HP Smart app and reinstall the app and check if you can start the application

Please follow steps from the next video:

Also you can use your printer without HP Smart installing the Full Software version.

 

For example if you have a Deskjet 2700 you can install the next Full software to use your printer, for printing and scanning without HP Smart.
