HP OfficeJet Pro 9135e All-in-One Printer

OKay. I used to have an HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 printer, the one feature that I really liked from this old printer is that if I start a printing job, ON the printer display itself, it would flash green (on the "notification panel") which means it tells me it's printing. but now that I have HP OfficeJet Pro 9135e, I don't see that feature anywhere. I tried to find it through the setting but to no avail, it doesn't seem available on it. I recently gave HP a call to pass along my feedback. Does anyone else like this feature too? Do you think that HP will listen to this feedback and add it in the next update?

The one thing that this will benefit is for us, the Deaf users. Me as a Deaf user, subconsciously, I would love it if the printer is telling me that the printer is printing.

Hi @Profaniter,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Your feedback to HP regarding the visual notification feature for printing status on their OfficeJet Pro 9135e is indeed valuable, especially considering its importance for Deaf users like yourself. The feature you're describing from the HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 that provided a flashing green light on the printer's display panel as a sign that printing is in progress, is a good example of accessible design that benefits users who rely on visual cues.

Many companies are increasingly aware of the importance of accessibility features to ensure their products are usable by people with a wide range of abilities. Given this trend, highlighting how a feature benefits users with disabilities can make the feedback more compelling.

We would definitely work on it. Not all the printers have this feature.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
