In order to palliate this incident, please restart the printer, computer, and router.

- Unplug the USB cable from the back of the printer and the USB port of the computer.
- Unplug the printer power cord from the printer.
- Turn off the computer or the device you are trying to print from.
- Plug the cable back into the back of the printer and directly into a power outlet, and then turn on the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from your wireless router, and then wait 30 seconds.
- Plug the power cord to the router.
NOTE: Wait until internet service is restored. Internet service is interrupted while the router is off.

Note: If the software uninstall process does not start or an error displays while uninstalling, download Fix problems that block programs from being installed or removed from the Microsoft website, and then try uninstalling again.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the uninstall of the printer.
- Restart the computer.
2. Launch the registry editor:
- On the keyboard, simultaneously tap the Windows flag and the R key. The Run window opens.
- Type regedit, then OK. The registry editor opens.
- Develop HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, then SOFTWARE, click with the right mouse button on Hewlett-Packard and Delete. (If the PC is HP-branded, develop Hewlett-Packard and remove Digital Imaging)
3. Delete the HP HP Officejet Pro 8620 series folder in the way:

got it installed thanks
Just one problem after that that when connected over wifi it will nor print any of my own documents. It prints internal documents. If say I print a document from word or acrobat the printer applet or show printing applet simply goes immediately to error. It works on all my other machines without problem. Its only the one where insider updates happen. But on this one the HP6700 that I have works fine and prints properly. Its only the 8620 that fails each time. Could it be because I cancelled the instant ink because I could not get it to install and then reinstated instant ink once I had it installed. Either way the print simply goes into error state on printing any of my own documents
