I am the sole user of my printer but, seemingly at random, I am being requested to Login. Why?
Today, there was an additional step to complete in order to Verify that I am not a bot. I hade to identify which objects were correctly oriented! Why? A waste of my time, particularly as the images were very slow to load.
Otherwise a good printer and scanner but it may be time to replace it with one that is more user-friendly!

Perhaps you are using the HP Smart application.
Yes, the application does require that you sign into the app -- generally, the sign-in "sticks", at least for a while -- sometimes when the application updates (through the Store), you might need to sign in again. I've seen the "not a robot" bit a few times; it is not generally part of the sign-in process.
Use of the HP Smart application is optional - that is, you do not have to use HP Smart if you object to the sign-in or any part of using the app.

A bit of information...
Orientation / Boundaries are not always fully detected - it is possible to edit / modify when needful.
Ask if you want to see examples of how to edit scans.
It is possible, too, that a scan might be influenced by one of the settings.
For example >> If set, Switch OFF the Auto-Enhancements setting for Orientation
Example - HP Smart - Windows - Scan setup menu

What else?
If you have not done so, install the Full Feature Software / full driver printer software.
For your Printer
>>> Full Feature Software - Web Pack Installation Package - Information and Download <<<
HP ENVY 5530 e-All-in-One Printer series Full Feature Software and Drivers
After the software is installed, Restart the computer and log in
Installed full driver printer software adds at least two shortcuts to the Desktop:
- Printer Assistant
- HP Scan
Example - Windows - HP Full Feature Software - Installed
Programs_and_Features_Printer_Desktop_Icons_9
Example - HP Scan - Menu

What else?
The full driver provides the foundation for installing and using other software / applications
For example,
- HP Scan and Capture >> Available from the Microsoft Store (formally Windows Store) - Requires Windows 8 or higher -- Download-Save-Install HP Scan and Capture
- Third Party >> NAPS2 – “Not Another PDF Scanner” (Free – Donations gladly accepted by the NAPS2 organization) -- Download-Save-Install > NAPS2
