As soon as I updated to MacOS 10.15, my Officejet 2622 printer scan stopped working. After sometime, a new easy start software was made available (Nov 18), I updated to this new software and now the printer also doesn't work 😞
After giving the print command, it just hangs with the message - "Printing - waiting for printer to become available"
Has someone also faced this issue, what is the work around for this?
Is HP planning to release new software to fix this problem?

@VivekAwasthi, Welcome to HP Support Community!
This could be an issue with the installed drivers or connectivity. Let us try to isolate the issue.
- Could you perform a ping test using the Mac Network Utility and let me know the results?
Use the printer IP address to perform a ping test, the printer IP can be located by selecting the wireless icon on the printer display. if the packet loss is 0%, try the steps below.
Ensure that the printer is up to date with its firmware and Mac is up to date with its software. If you are unsure you may use the links below to update the printer firmware and Mac software:
Remove and add the printer
Click the Apple menu, and then select System Preferences.
Depending on your operating system version, click Print & Fax, Print & Scan, or Printers & Scanners.
Click the name of your printer, click the Minus sign, and then delete the printer.
Click the Plus sign, and then click Add Printer or Scanner.
Click the Use or Print Using box, and then select AirPrint
Click Add to add the printer to the list.
Try to print.
Keep me posted for further assistance.

Thank for you reply.
I have checked my MAC is up to date. I have updated the printer driver to the latest one released on 18 DEC.
I couldn't find any wireless icon on my printer display to get the IP - maybe because my printer is not wireless. Hence, I couldn't do the ping test you requested.
The problem still persists even after updating to the latest driver
Hangs in this state
It just hangs in this state forever 😞
Is it by any chance possible to get the old driver which was there in place before the one released on 18 Nov?
Your help is much appreciated.

If the printer is connected via USB, try connecting it to a different port or try using a different USB cable. If the issue persists, reset the printing system. Here is how you do it-
-
Click the Apple menu, and then click System Preferences.
-
Click Print & Fax, Print & Scan, or Printers & Scanners.
-
Right-click (or Control + click) anywhere inside the Printers window, and then click Reset printing system.
-
Click Reset in the confirmation window.
-
Enter the Administrator name and password, and then click OK to complete the reset.
After the printing system resets, add your printer back to the list and try to print.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
