After some Windows 10 upgrade of the last year (2019) the printer driver, that previously was working fine, has started to hide color and two side print options from the printer setup, but only with wireless connection.
I've read a lot of post of this forum concerning the same problem and tried all the suggestions without success (reinstalling the driver, using print and scan doctor, etc.).
If I install the printer driver with the printer connected via USB all is working fine, color and two side print appear again, but if I switch to the WiFi connection the same problem arise.
I've tried also to print from an Android smartphone and all is working fine.
Now I ended up with two printers showed in the Windows Control Panel: HP OfficeJet 4650 series, for USB connection, and HP OfficeJet 4650 series (network), for WiFi connection.
Following a suggestion of a post in this forum I tried also to set printer IP address as static without success.
Thank to all for any suggestion to help solve this problem that seems common to other HP printer users.

Hi @Dariotto
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the printing issue.
Let's try these steps -
1. In the search box, type and open "Uninstall a Program".
2. Look for HP Printer software.
3. Right-click to uninstall.
4. In the search box, type and open “Devices and printers”.
5. In the Devices and Printers, look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose “Delete” or “Remove Device”.
6. Open the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
7. Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”).
8. Click on the "Drivers" tab.
9. Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click “Remove” at the bottom.
10. Select Ok.
11. Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows.
12. Close Devices and Printers Once the software and drivers are removed.
13. Restart the computer.
Try adding the printer using the TCP/ IP port -
1. Select “Start” and type “printers” in the search box.
2. Choose “Printers & scanners“.
3. Select “Add a printer or scanner“.
4. Wait for the “The printer that I want isn’t listed” option to appear, then select it.
5. Select “Add a printer using a TCP/IP address or hostname” , then select “Next“.
6. Select “TCP/IP Device” in the “Device type” list.
7. Type the hostname or the IP address of the printer. Select “Next“. To find the IP address of the printer, touch the Wi-Fi icon on the printer's control panel.
8. Windows should find the printer if the printer is on and configured correctly. You may have to specify more information. If prompted, Select the type of network adapter installed in the printer in the “Device Type” drop-down list. You can also click “Custom” to specify custom settings for the network printer. Select “Next“.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Thank you Asmita for your valuable suggestions!!!!
Before your reply I did a lot of times the unistall and reinstall procedure without success.
The main difference of your procedure is adding the printer using the TCP/IP port, instead of installing the HP Full WebPack software, after having deeply uninstalled the printer software and driver.
After having successfully verified that color and two side print options are present into the printer setup panel, I was stuck without the HP helper program that I previously used for scanner, fax and all the other available functions.
This time I tried to install the HP Easy Start software, instead of the Full WebPack, and I've got a Windows 10 style app that is working fine, also with a wireless connection to the printer!!!! Great job.
Please let me ask one more question....somewhere using HP Print and Scan Doctor I've found a warning message saying that the PC and printer should be connected on the same WiFi network (of course) but not behind a repeater or range extender!!!!!
I'm using the PC and printer both behind the same repeater in a mesh environment made with AVM FritzBox 7490 as a master and an AVM FritzWLAN 1160 as a repeater.
The IP address of the printer is setup as static.
Could this connection mode explain the previous problems that I had using the Full WebPack driver installation??
Thank you so much for your patience.
Best regards
Dario

Hi @Asmita6658
Just two more questions:
1. what's the difference between HP Easy Start and HP Full WebPack software?
2. do you know if it's possible to connect the printer behind a WiFi repeater or range extender without problem?
Thank you again
Dario

Hi @Dariotto
Thanks for getting back to us.
1.) HP Easy Start provides interactive guided setup and drivers for your HP printer. HP Full-Feature also does the same but the HP Easy Start is the new software utility.
2.) WiFi repeater or range extender is not recommended by HP and that could be a possible cause of this problem. I'lll forward the request to our R & D team so that they can look into this scenario.
Hope this answers your questions.
