HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 Wide Format All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

Im using a OfficeJet Pro 7740 as a network printer in combination with Windows 11.
Every time I print something multiple white papers are being spit out and I have to turn off the printer.
I tried changing the driver from the official HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 series 20.79.1.6733 to the HP Universal Printing PC 6 61.225.1.24923 but it doesn't have any effect.  I also gave the printer a firmware update to the latest version.

What else could I try that could solve the problem?
(I don't have the ability to connect the printer to USB)

Hi @Joost56841,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

Perform a power reset on the printer.

  1. Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.
  2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
  3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  4. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  5. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  6. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
NOTE: HP Recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet
  7. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  8. Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  9. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Thank you for your reply, I tried the HP postscript driver and that seemed to work. For me this is solved now.
