Hi @sulu27
Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.
You can download the driver for your HP OfficeJet Pro 8715 directly from HP’s official support page. The correct package for macOS Sequoia is available there, and once installed, your printer should connect smoothly again.
Step 1: Download the Driver
- Visit the official HP driver page for your printer: HP OfficeJet Pro 8715 All‑in‑One Printer Software and Driver Downloads.
- Select macOS Sequoia as your operating system.
- Download the Full Software and Drivers package.
Step 2: Install the Driver
- Open the downloaded installer file.
- Follow the on‑screen instructions to install the driver and supporting software.
- During installation, choose whether you want to connect the printer via Wi‑Fi or USB.
- Complete the setup and confirm the printer is added to your system.
Step 3: Add Printer in macOS Sequoia
- On your Mac, open System Settings > Printers & Scanners.
- Click the + button to add a printer.
- Select your HP OfficeJet Pro 8715 from the list.
- If not listed, choose Add Printer by IP and enter the IP address (you can print a Network Configuration Page from the printer to find this).
- For driver, select AirPrint or Secure AirPrint if prompted.
Step 4: Use HP App
- Install the HP App from the Mac App Store: HP App.
- Open the app, add your printer, and run Diagnose & Fix if needed.
- The app also allows you to print, scan, and manage supplies directly.
Step 5: Update Firmware
- On the same HP support page, check for Firmware Updates for your printer model.
- Download and install the update to ensure compatibility with macOS Sequoia.
You’ve already taken the right step by checking for the driver. With these actions—especially downloading the full package and adding the printer by IP if needed—you should feel the printer respond with its familiar hum and deliver pages smoothly again.
