Hello @Jado1406, Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the HP Officejet Pro 8720.

We appreciate the opportunity to assist you and are glad we could help work toward a resolution. We hope our support has been valuable.

To help us get started on resolving your issue, could you please try a few troubleshooting steps provided below so that I can assist you further?

Please restart both the printer and the router to refresh the connection and then ensure that Web Services is enabled from the printer’s dashboard.

1. Restart and Power Cycle the Printer
Turn off the printer, unplug it from the wall outlet, wait for 60 seconds, then plug it back in and power it on.

2. Check Web Services Settings
On the printer display, swipe down to open the dashboard, select Web Services Setup, and ensure it is enabled.
If Web Services are already on, turn them off, wait a few moments, and then turn them back on.

3. Update the Printer Firmware
Navigate to Setup > Tools > Update the Printer > Check Now to ensure the printer is running the latest firmware.

4. Remove and re‑add the Printer in HP Smart
Open the HP Smart app, remove the printer from the app, and then add it again to refresh the connection.

5. Check Network Connectivity
Confirm that the printer is connected to a stable 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi network, as this is required for reliable operation.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
