Today I allowed my OfficeJet Pro 9135e printer to update its firmware.
I cannot print from my Windows 11 (23H2) laptop after installing firmware version 6.23.5.67-202507241513. Message is "Unable to print. Rendering failed. Print job unable to print. Please check if printer driver is up-to-date and configured correctly."
Previous version was 6.23.5.3-202503240855, which worked fine. I suspect the printer itself is OK but the new firmware is bad.
Please help me get my printer working again.

Hi @RocketSquirrel,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing a print issue with your HP Officejet Pro 9135e printer. Kindly refer to the steps below:
1. Remove Old Drivers
Go to Control Panel → Devices and Printers.
Right-click your HP Officejet Pro 9135e → Remove device.
Open Device Manager → Print queues → uninstall any HP Officejet entries.
Optional: Use Print Management (printmanagement.msc) to delete old drivers.
2. Install Latest HP Software
Download the HP app HP App – For HP Printers, Laptops, and Tech Accessories | HP® Official Site from HP’s support page.
This ensures you get the latest Windows 11-compatible driver package.
Avoid relying on Windows Update’s generic driver—it often breaks after firmware changes.
3. Reset Printer Connection
Re-add the printer via HP Smart or Add Printer in Windows.
Make sure it’s set as the default printer.
Test with a simple text file before trying complex documents.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have an amazing day!
