Product: Officejet Pro 7740
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

My printer updated firmware and now I cannot use my third party ink. This ink was purchase well before the lock out so I am not just tossing it. Does anyone have an "update" that would bring my printer back to being able to use third party inks. The printer is no longer in warranty and the third party ink works just fine.

@CatOUEDU This is a Dynamic security enabled printer.

The Firmware Update may prevent supplies with non-HP chips or circuitry from working.

 

Note: For printers manufactured prior to December 1, 2016 dynamic security will not be enabled by the firmware.

Please note that HP cannot guarantee the quality or reliability of non-HP cartridges.
