HP OfficeJet 250 Mobile All-in-One Printer

My Officejet 250 often shows as "offline" and I have to run troubleshooter to get it to print.  Recently it prints only part of the page, then follows with more attempts to print it.  See attached photos.  Can anyone please help me to fix this?

Hi @Fred19611,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

When your HP Officejet 250 is printing only part of the page and requiring troubleshooting to bring it online, it’s typically related to connectivity issues or a communication problem between the printer and computer. Here are some steps to help resolve this.

Check the Connection: Ensure that the printer is connected directly to a reliable Wi-Fi network or USB port (if using USB). Weak connections can cause partial prints or interruptions.

Update Printer Drivers: Outdated drivers can cause connectivity issues and printing errors. Go to HP's driver download page for the Officejet 250 and install the latest drivers.

Check for Firmware Updates: Firmware updates can fix bugs causing connectivity and printing issues. Use the HP Smart app or visit the HP support site to check for firmware updates.

Clear Print Queue: Sometimes, the print queue can have stuck jobs that cause partial printing. Clear the queue by:

  • Going to Devices and Printers on your computer, right-clicking your HP Officejet 250, and selecting See what's printing.
  • Cancel any stuck print jobs.

Adjust Print Settings: Go to Printer Properties and ensure your paper size, type, and quality settings match what’s in the printer tray.

Use the HP Print and Scan Doctor: HP offers a troubleshooting tool, HP Print and Scan Doctor, which can identify and resolve printer issues, including offline problems. Download and run this tool from HP's support page.

Perform a Printer Reset: Turn off the printer, unplug it for 60 seconds, and plug it back in. This can help reset any temporary glitches.

Disable SNMP in Printer Properties (for Windows): If using Windows and a networked printer, SNMP can sometimes cause issues. Go to Devices and Printers > Printer Properties > Ports > Configure Port, and uncheck SNMP Status Enabled.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
