Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

Hi all, my HP Officejet 6500 will not scan.  I have reloaded the printer software to no avail.  When you attempt to scan, the screen comes up with an Fi icon (see below).  I run Windows 7, and have the same error on Windows 10 with a different laptop.  Is the printer cactus?.

That's Adobe Flash that is no longer supported issue.
