Hi. I recently got this Officejet 8720 at a yard sale. The previous owners told me the cartridges were linked to Instant Ink service, so I wasn't going to be able to print with them (pity, they're full). They don't have the service anymore. Factory reset did not wipe everything. Their web services email still shows when I connect it to my network and other options are locked. Is there a way to perform a complete reset in order to use it with HP non-Instant Ink cartridges?

Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand that you want to reset the printer, I am glad to assist you.
You might have to perform a semi-full reset on the printer to fix this issue.
The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.
I am sending you a private message with the steps to reset the printer. Please check the mailbox icon at the top-right corner of this screen.
I hope this helps resolve this issue completely.
To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.
