My Officejet Pro x476dw worked fine for 3 years, now will not print wirelessly, HP refuses to recognize the model number. Tried re-installing the driver on my Dell running Windows 11 and it will not re-install.

Probably need to reset the printer. Do not do the full reset as you may be asked to put the original cartridges back into the printer. I have never used this printer but I'm just thinking of what positive could go wrong with a full reset
Click here for network setup using HP Smart but in a different language
You may need to reset the printer: video here anothe video here
WiFi setup to router is done through the front panel. This video shuuld explain.
For WiFi direct setup see page 118 of below user manual.
This is useful if there is no modem or you do not want to give someone access to your modem but you want to let them print something.
Simple push button or WPS setup is described on page 38 of Users Manual
Full feature software 476dw May 2022
Printer Reference x476dw
Let me know if you have a flex system (WiFi boosters or repeaters) as the setup is much more complicated.

Just to add a little to the good advice that @BeemerBiker offered.
Is the printer connected to wireless, does it show a proper connection? Meaning if you type the IP address into a browser address bar, do you have access to the Embedded Web Server. If yes, that is good. If you cannot access the EWS, are you able to ping the IP address? If yes to either answer above then I would try to manually install the printer using either the Universal Printer Driver or the Smart Universal printer driver. While this printer is not listed directly as supported, it is worth a try if one of those two will work. When adding a printer you will need to create a TCP/IP port with the IP address of the printer in it and then point the install to the hard drive location where the downloaded zip files unpacked.
