Hi.
I have recently changed my wifi network setup and password and wanted to reconnect this printer.
I wenty through the process for WiFi connection with USB attached using HP Easy Start.
The process appeared to work, as it informed me that the printer was now connected.
However, on removing the USB, the power and resume buttons began to flash at high speed.
I tried to install the new firmware updater but it produced a message that there was an error with my equipment which I needed to resolve.
I tried to hard reset the machine (using an HP employee response to another entry on this forum) by removing the ink and the power cable and then repowering. I also attemped a fix using another web-sourced method which was holding the resume button for 30 seconds after a 30 second unpowered period.
But no dice.
The machine is currently flashing the power button light, the resume light and all four ink lights.
Pressing the power button takes it back into its setup routine, but instead of returning the ink tray to the center position so I can reinstall the cartridges, it ends up on the right and all the flashing lights come on again.
It's very very unhappy.
Any help gratefully received.

Welcome to HP Support Forums.
MKazi is at your service.
I understand that your HP OfficeJet Pro 6230 ePrinter has the power button and the resume lights blinking. Also, the print carriage is stuck in the corner and does not allow you to install the ink cartridges.
I appreciate the steps you have performed and have certainly done a good job and thanks for describing the issue is such detail.
Did any hardware changes take place on the printer prior to this issue (like a paper jam or a carriage jam)?
Secondly, during my research, I came across this HP document which explains the reasons for various blinking light on the printer. Once you open that document, in "Issue: The Power light and the Resume light are blinking" it shows that the reason for the power and the resume light to blink is either because of a paper jam or a carraige jam in the printer.
I recommend you to attempt the suggested troubleshooting steps in the document and let me know how it goes.
Also, if the carriage is stuck in the corner and does not move to the center, then please try to manually move the carriage using your hand. Do not apply too much pressure as it may damage it. If the carriage still does not move then it points towards a hardware issue.
Feel free to let me know how it goes. I'm always here to assist you.
Cheers!
