Hi @1939Alex,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

Adding an HP icon to your Mac desktop for easy access depends on what functionality you're seeking (e.g., opening HP software, quick access to the printer, or printer settings). Here’s how you can achieve this:

If You Want Quick Access to the HP Printer Utility or Software:

Locate the HP App or Utility:

  • Open Finder and go to the Applications folder.
  • Look for an app like HP Smart or HP Easy Start (depending on your installation).

Create a Shortcut on the Desktop:

  • Drag the HP app icon from the Applications folder to your desktop. This will create a shortcut for easy access.

If You Want Quick Access to Printer Settings:

Add the Printer to the Dock:

  • Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners.
  • Select your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e from the list and click on Open Print Queue.
  • Right-click the Print Queue icon in the Dock and choose Keep in Dock.

Rename the Dock Icon (Optional):

  • Right-click the Dock icon, go to Options, and rename it to something like "HP Printer" for clarity.

If You Want a Direct Link to Print Documents:

  • Simply drag and drop frequently printed files (e.g., PDFs) to the desktop and print them quickly by right-clicking and selecting Print.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
