I am trying to install my older P1102w on MacOS Monterey 1.4.
I finally located the correct driver, but now am trying to install on my home network for wireless printing.
No luck on HP Support. Driver is for 12.0 and later.
I am able to print via direct USB cable, but would like to install wireless features so we can print from iPhones and iPad.
Can not get a configuration page or HTML configuration with printer utility.
HP Smart App is not finding printer either.
Any help would be great!
Thanks,
JP

Hi @JPOLSON,
Welcome to the HP Support Community
I understand you are facing an issue with your HP LaserJet Pro P1102w Printer. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.
To assist better:
- Do you have a dual-band router?
- If you have a dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both networks.
The printer does not support the Airprint feature to print from iPhone & iPad as it is not compatible anymore. You may use this link for reference: AirPrint devices
Update the printer firmware & then try adding the printer back on your PC
- Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your product
- Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.
Uninstall HP Smart and try to reinstall it back.
- Disconnect the USB cable from the printer, if necessary.
- Click Finder
in the Dock.
- In the menu bar, click Go, click Applications, and then open the HP or Hewlett Packard folder.
- If HP Uninstaller is in the folder, double click it to uninstall the software, and then skip to the step to prepare the printer for the driver installation.
- If HP Uninstaller is not in the folder, continue to the next step.
- Click and drag the HP or Hewlett Packard folder to the Trash icon in the Dock.
- In the menu bar, click Go, click Go to Folder, type /Library/Printers, and then click Go.
- Click and drag the HP or Hewlett Packard folder to the Trash icon in the Dock.
- Right-click or Ctrl + click the Trash icon, and then select Empty Trash.
- Prepare the printer for the driver installation. Make sure it is turned on, cartridges are installed, and plain paper is loaded in the main tray.
- Download and install HP Smart
- Try if you are able to print fine now. ( Full Feature Driver Link )
