New MAC Pro Sequoia 15.3.1 will con connect to older P1102w. I've read my OS is not compatible, and the printer instructions are on a disc, which MAC doesn't accept. Anyone find a workaround?

@RabbitA, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
If you have a new MacBook Pro running macOS 15.3.1 (Sequoia) and you are unable to connect to your older HP LaserJet Pro P1102w printer due to compatibility issues, you can follow these steps to establish a connection:
Download the Latest Printer Driver:
- Visit the HP Support Website and search for the HP LaserJet Pro P1102w printer. Download the latest macOS-compatible printer driver.
Use HP Easy Start:
- HP Easy Start is an automated software installation application optimized for macOS. You can download HP Easy Start from the HP Support Website to help you install the printer with the latest drivers and software.
Add the Printer Manually:
- Connect the printer to your Mac using a USB cable (initial setup) if needed.
- Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
- Click the "+" button to add a printer.
- Select your printer from the list, and if prompted, download the latest driver directly from Apple.
Install Using AirPrint:
- If the driver installation from HP or direct connection does not work, you can try using AirPrint, which is Apple's built-in printing technology that allows you to print without needing to install specific drivers.
- Make sure your printer firmware is updated to enable AirPrint:
- The printer should be connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Mac.
- In Printers & Scanners preferences, select your HP printer, choose the printer software as "AirPrint" when adding the device.
I hope these steps help resolve the issue
