HP LaserJet P3015
macOS 10.15 Catalina

I have an HP LaserJet P3015 and can't seem to make it work with my iMac. HP Easy Start finds the computer, but then gives the following error: "We were not able to automatically locate any software options for this product."

 

Looking online, I can't find the printer driver either. When I use the macOS internal printer setup the setup completes, but then I get the errors about malware/"... will damage your computer" that seem to have cropped up in the last few weeks.

 

Either case, I can't print - any ideas? Thank you!

Turns out that this was related to the HP driver/malware warnings over the last few weeks; I just happened to try to add this printer to my machine at the wrong time...

 

This is the article that helped me fix it. Once I removed all things related to HP printers software (using HP Easy Start), adding the printer via the usual Mac process fixed it like a charm:
