HP DESKJET PLUS 4100 SERIES
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Has anyone tried borderless printing on this printer through the use of double-sticky back tape to locate and hold an 8"x10" sheet of photo paper on top of a 8½" x 11" standard office paper? I believe that the photo paper would have to be positioned such that the left, right, and top edges of the photo paper would need to be located ¼" from the left, right, and top edges of the standard paper. It seems that HP doesn't want customers to know: 1) the printer does not provide borderless printing and 2) they want to keep this lack of function a secret by hiding the dimensions of the unprintable left, right, top, and bottom margins.  The printer manual does not mention this lack of functionality or any information useful to otherwise compensate for a poorly designed printer. Thank you HP marketing for an inexpensive and minimally functional printer. I will no longer trust HP to produce quality products.

I cannot answer the first question though I would guess if you thought of it, someone else might have tried it, too.

Such is the nature of printing - millions of people and printers and ideas.

Use Caution:  The method described, that of taping one paper to another, might result in a paper jam

True - Printer does not support Borderless Printing.
