Hi @MikeCharlie,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

To install the HP Ink Tank Wireless 415 printer on a PC running ChromeOS Flex, you may need to ensure compatibility and proper installation settings. However, acquiring PPD files specifically for Chromebooks can require alternative steps since ChromeOS Flex might not support direct PPD file installations like traditional operating systems. Here is how you can typically proceed:

Check Printer Compatibility:

  • Ensure that your HP Ink Tank 415 can connect to ChromeOS. HP printers with Wi-Fi capabilities often work seamlessly with ChromeOS devices.

Printer Setup:

  • Connect your printer to the Wi-Fi network following the printer setup instructions available in your manual.
  • Make sure your Chromebook is connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

Add Printer:

  • On your Chromebook, go to Settings > Advanced > Printing.
  • Click Printers and then Add a Printer.
  • Your device should detect HP Ink Tank 415 if properly connected.

Use Universal Print Drivers:

  • ChromeOS natively supports several printer models using CUPS (Common UNIX Printing System). If the printer doesn’t automatically show up, use generic print drivers available in ChromeOS, which should include basic HP printer drivers.

HP Smart App:

  • Visit the Chrome Web Store to download the HP Smart App if available. This app helps with setup, scanning, and printing from HP printers and can provide additional functionalities beyond basic printing.

I hope this helps.
