yes, it did yesterday when we had been at this machine. We also went into web-interface and for safety reason did set the sleep mode to "never", since client wasn't able to take more problems with the PageWide 577. Let's hope, HP is taking this sleep-mode-freeze-up bug out!

I am now on the latest version of the firmware. There is no need to do anything like restoring to factory defaults or anything like that. The latest version of the firmware is working as in it works for sleep mode, goes to sleep and wakes from sleep and it also works with the scheduled shut down and wake up. My printer is the HP Pagewide Pro MFP 477dw and the fimware version is MAVEDWPP1N001.1908C.00
