Hi,

We have an HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-All-in-One Printer - N911a.

When I turn on the printer I get an 'Improper Shutdown' message. If I click OK to that message I get a 'Paper Jam' message. I have been through looking for paper jams, cleaning the rollers and resetting the printer buy turning pulling out the plug while the printer is turned on. I also blew out the carriage area and the duplex mechanism with compressed air.

In other thread, Jeet_Singh mentioned an advanced reset procedure which he sent via private message.  Can I do the same to resolve the issue?

Thanks.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

We'll have to perform a reset on the Printer for this. I have sent you a private message, for more details that cannot be shared in a public post.

Please do check your inbox on the forums page for the private message.

Let me know if this helps.
