I removed the paper tray to put paper in it. Tried to reinsert into the printer (which I have done hundreds of times with no issue). The tray will not go back in.

I have this same problem. There is NO paperjam. I can get the tray in up to about 3 inches and then it stops. I'm using the same letter-sized paper I've always used and the tray is set for letter size. Never had this problem before. Used a flashlight to look up under/inside the bottom of the tray placement and I can see the roller--nothing looks broken, damaged or out of order. Extremely frustrating as I'm trying to print a document with a deadline. What is the cause and how can I fix this?

Please...if you have had this problem and resolved it, let me know. I will do the same.

I figured it out!

I had accidentally pressed the "legal-size" button on the front right of the paper tray.

All you have to do is press the "legal-size" button and then push the tray back to letter-size.

You will probably have to take the tray out all of the way in order to do this.
