Product: Office jet pro 8600 plus

Paper tray came all the way out. Big ears on metal spring loaded tray extend out too far. How to get it back in. Tray up or down? Force it past too narrow opening? Thanks, jeff

The HP Officejet 8600 Printer has a paper tray that can be completely removed and reinstalled. Refer to the document HP Officejet Printers - Loading Paper to learn how to work with the paper trays.

 

If the metal spring cannot be fixed or seems to be broken, I'd recommend you reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
