HP Smart Tank 500 All-in-One

Hi! I usually print with "HP Premium Paper" Setting and it's disappear from the option.

I just use that setting 15 minutes ago, and now i want to print another file and the option disappear. I think the HP Smart got updated or something but all the settings display is different from before.

The options (now):

- Plain Paper

- HP Photo Papers

- HP Matte Brochure or Professional Paper

- HP Matte Presentation Paper

- HP Glossy Brochure or Professional Paper

- Other Photo Inkjet Papers

- Other Matte Inkjet Papers

- Other Glossy Inkjet Papers

- Plain Paper, Light/Recycled

(Almost half options are gone)

I already use and set the best setting for me and now i'm confused and need to re-try to find the most suitable setting for me.

Please help me, can i go back to the old setting?

Welcome to the HP Community --

IF HP Smart updated, then No - you cannot "go back".

When I compare my current HP Smart paper type settings to an example plate I made months ago, the paper types listed in the HP Smart App are not different.  The same paper types available when I made that example are still those listed in the application now.

So - No, I cannot explain why 1/2 your paper types are now missing.

Example - HP Smart - Windows - Simple Photo Print - A4

Thank you so much!

I'm not sure but before there were a lot options and there was one option that i always use (HP Premium Paper? or HP Premium Plus if i'm not wrong) but now it's disappeared. I just used that option a few minutes before the setting changed.. So i'm kinda confused now.. But i'll try the new setting

You are welcome.

I cannot think of where the setting you describe was located.

Might have been a custom shortcut you created, though you'd likely remember doing that.

Might be something unique to your printer model -- I don't have a direct way to check but I will look at what I can find.

Regardless, you can certainly use the same paper you were using "just before"  -- Try the "plain" HP Photo paper type and check the results.
