Hi @Csb1401,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To reset the password on your HP DeskJet 2855e All-in-One Printer, you generally need to perform a factory reset. This will reset all settings, including the password, to their default values. Here’s how you can do it.
Turn on the Printer:
- Make sure the printer is turned on and is in a ready state.
Access the Control Panel:
- On the printer’s control panel, press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button (typically the red “X” button) for about 5 seconds.
Initiate the Factory Reset:
- After releasing the buttons, the printer should start the reset process. This process might take a few minutes.
Reconnect to Your Network:
- Once the factory reset is complete, you’ll need to reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network. Follow the setup instructions use the HP Smart app to configure your printer settings again.
Reconfigure Printer Settings:
- You might need to reconfigure any custom settings or preferences you had previously set up.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
