Product: Photosmart 7520
Operating System: macOS 10.15 Catalina

I have a Photosmart 7520.  I have just upgraded my Mac to Catalina - 10.15.1. I have the latest HP Easy Scan software - 1.9.3. I cannot scan since the upgrade. The printer works fine but when I try to scan while the document runs through the document feeder on the printer the software just hangs. (When I installed the last software the test scan in the installer software worked.) From a quick search I am not alone - any one got a fix?

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the scanning issue. 

 

HP Easy Scan is currently not fully compatible with macOS Catalina and we'd suggest you use the image capture. We're actively working to restore complete functionality. You may refer to this document for more information - HP Printers - HP Easy Scan Is Not Currently Supported in macOS Catalina
