HP Office Jet Pro c6960

Hi there

I wondered if anyone could help me.  Since changing my ink cartridges a few weeks ago when I am printing and I have a block of blue colour, pink horizonal lines appear all down the A4 page.  It only does this when I am printing a block of blue colour and doesnt happen any other time.

I have changed the ink cartidges, turned off the printer, unplugged etc and this doesn't seem to have worked.  I have also run a clean print head several times, as well as align print head and also clean smear and none of these have seemed to work either.

Has anyone had this problem or any ideas as to what I can do??

Many thanks

Nicola

Hey there! @NicolaRedmile, Welcome to HP forums.

I understand when print from your printer it is printing half lines.

Don't worry I'll try to help you out.

Did you make any changes to your printer?

Does the issue persist when you make a copy from your printer?

Have you tried printing using a different brand paper?

Please provide the operating system you are running on your PC to assist you better.

As you mentioned when your print blue it is printing in pink.

Manually clean the printhead contacts and check if the issue persists.

Try the steps recommended below.

Check the estimated ink levels, and then replace any low or empty cartridges.

Print a Print Quality Diagnostic page from the printer control panel and check if the issue persists.

  1. Load plain white paper in the input tray.

  2. From the home screen on the printer control panel, swipe down to open the Dashboard, and then touch the Setup icon .

  3. Swipe up on the display, touch Reports, and then touch Print Quality Report.

A Print Quality Diagnostic Page prints.

Refer this article to further troubleshoot the print quality issue with your printer.

Let me know if this helps!

Have a pleasant day ahead! 🙂
