Hi there. HP print doctor wakes my computer up constantly for nothing which is really not good for the system. This is VERY frustrating that a product would do this. How can I disable this? I've tried everything I can think of.
Thank you

Hi @DF12345111,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It's frustrating to experience this behavior from your printer software. To address this issue with the HP Print Doctor waking up your computer, you can try the following steps:
Check for Updates: Ensure that both your printer drivers and the HP Print Doctor tool are up-to-date. Visit the official HP website to download the latest version of the software that is compatible with your operating system.
Scheduled Tasks: Sometimes, certain tasks are scheduled to run at specific intervals. Check your computer's Task Scheduler to see if there are any scheduled tasks related to the HP Print Doctor or printer software. You can disable or modify these tasks as needed.
Background Processes: Open your Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc on Windows) and check for any background processes related to the HP Print Doctor. If you find any, you may be able to end the process or adjust its priority.
Notification Settings: Look into the settings of the HP Print Doctor to see if there are options related to notifications or automatic updates. Disable any settings that may be causing the tool to wake up your computer.
Alternative Print Software: If all else fails, consider using alternative print management software that does not exhibit the unwanted behavior. Windows and many other operating systems have built-in print management tools that might be sufficient for your needs.
Remember to back up your system or create a restore point before making any significant changes to your computer settings.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.-
