My Laserjet 1606dn does not work properly with my Mac using macOS Sequoia 15.1. Only "generic" printer features are available. When I try to download a new driver from your website, I'm told that the available driver only works for OS 15.0 and earlier.
What can be done? When are you going to update your driver and make it available?

Hi @RMS51,
Thank you for your reply
When it comes to using a driver intended for an earlier macOS version (such as macOS 12) on macOS 15.1, it’s often the case that macOS drivers designed for older versions are compatible with later ones. However, this depends on both the driver and the device’s manufacturer support for that macOS version.
Here's how you can proceed:
Try Downloading the Driver: First, if you can access the driver designed for macOS 12, download it directly from the support website by bypassing any automatic detection features. Some websites let you select an OS version manually, so you can choose macOS 12 to make the driver accessible.
Use the Compatibility Mode: If your device manufacturer’s website restricts downloading based on the detected OS, you may need to temporarily disable the OS version check or use a workaround. Alternatively, you can try downloading it from a support page or third-party source that offers the macOS 12 driver for your device.
Install and Test the Driver: After downloading, go ahead and install the driver on macOS 15.1. If any compatibility issues arise, check the device’s functionality in the Print & Scan settings in System Preferences to confirm it recognizes your device.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Please clarify. Apparently you are citing a driver designed for Mac OS 12. I am using Mac OS 15.1. Does this mean that the driver for OS 12 will work with OS 15.1? If so, how to I access it?
Your website indicates that there is a driver for OS 15.0 and earlier, but it won't let me download it because I have 15.1.
How should I proceed?
