I bought my printer a while ago and I am finally done with wasting paper and ink. Please inform me of the fix I need to do for the printer to stop printing Random IP addresses.
Thank you,
Mitzi

Hi @mitzi31
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the printing issue.
Let's try these steps -
Step 1 Secure the Wi-Fi network -
Set up or change the Wi-Fi network password to secure who can access it and prevent unwanted print jobs.
1. Open a web browser.
2. Type the router IP address in the browser address bar, and then press Enter.
3. At the login prompt, type your username and password.
4. Change your password.
All previously connected devices disconnect from the network and will need to be reconnected using the new password, including your printer.
Step 2 Secure the Wi-Fi Direct or HP Wireless Direct feature -
Turn on the security feature for Wi-Fi Direct or HP Wireless Direct to prevent unwanted print jobs.
1. From the printer control panel, press the Wi-Fi Direct or HP wireless direct icon or button .
If your printer control panel does not have an HP wireless or Wi-Fi Direct icon or button, navigate to the Network Setup or Wireless 2. Settings menu, and then touch Wireless Direct or Wi-Fi Direct.
Turn on the security feature.
-
Wi-Fi Direct: Select Manual to confirm the print job from the printer or to require a password for users.
-
HP wireless direct: Select On or On with security. Take note of the security passcode, and then touch OK.
Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
