HP OfficeJet Pro 9012 All-in-One Printer

Hello, since the last update from HP and Windows 11 the print driver is not installed anymore. I de-installed the whole printer and installed all again. Windows 11 Updates are all installed and the notebook is running without problems. Does someone have an idea?

Hi @MatthiasHae,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds frustrating to deal with driver issues, especially after updates. Here’s a step-by-step guide to hopefully resolve the print driver issue for your HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 series on Windows 11:

Uninstall the Printer and its Drivers:

  • Open Settings from the Start menu.
  • Go to Apps > Apps & Features.
  • Search for any entries related to your HP printer or the HP software, select each, and click Uninstall.
  • Restart your computer after uninstallation is complete.

Clear Printer Drivers:

  • Press Windows + R, type printmanagement.msc and press Enter. (Note: If printmanagement.msc is not available, you might need to access it through the Control Panel under Administrative Tools, or this feature might not be available on Home editions of Windows.)
  • In the Print Management window, go to All Printers and delete any printer that refers to the HP OfficeJet Pro 9010.
  • Then, go to All Drivers under the Drivers section. Find the HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 drivers, right-click them, and select Remove Driver Package.
  • Restart your computer.

Download and Install the Latest Drivers:

  • Visit the HP Support website: HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads
  • Type "OfficeJet Pro 9010" into the search box and submit.
  • Ensure the website detects your operating system correctly or manually select Windows 11 from the list.
  • Download the most relevant drivers, typically labeled as either the full software package or just the basic drivers if you prefer a lighter installation.
  • Install the downloaded drivers by following the on-screen instructions.

Connect the Printer Again:

  • Connect your printer to the computer either via USB or over your network.
  • Turn it on and wait for Windows to detect it. If Windows prompts to install any more drivers, allow it to do so.

Check HP Smart App:

  • Consider downloading the HP Smart app from the Microsoft Store if you haven't already. This app sometimes helps in managing printer settings and troubleshooting.

Set as Default Printer:

  • Go to Settings > Bluetooth & Devices > Printers & Scanners.
  • Select your HP printer from the list, and click on Set as default if you want this printer to be the default.

Test the Printer:

  • Try printing a test page to ensure everything is set up correctly.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
