The problems are not constant. When printing from Iphone I keep getting the frequent message that the printer cannot be found even though it is online. When printing from the Mac it will intermittently not be responding. I keep having to shut it down and restart. This all began after I upgraded to the Sonoma OS a couple of weeks ago. Very frustrating.

It seems like you're experiencing connectivity issues between your HP Officejet Pro 9025 printer and your Apple devices (iPhone and Mac) after upgrading to the Sonoma OS. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve these issues.

 

General Troubleshooting Steps:

Check Network Connection:

  • Make sure that your printer and the Apple devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Verify that the printer is online and has a stable connection.

Update Firmware/Drivers:

  • Check for firmware or driver updates for your HP printer on the official HP support website. Make sure you have the latest software installed.

Restart Devices:

  • Restart your iPhone, Mac, and the HP printer. This can often resolve temporary connectivity issues.

 

Troubleshooting iPhone Printing:

Printer App on iPhone:

  • Ensure that you are using the official HP printer app on your iPhone. Sometimes, using the manufacturer's app can provide better compatibility.

Reset Network Settings on iPhone:

  • On your iPhone, go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This will reset Wi-Fi and other network-related settings. Reconnect to your Wi-Fi network afterward.

 

Troubleshooting Mac Printing:

Remove and Re-add the Printer on Mac:

  • Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
  • Remove the HP printer from the list and then re-add it by clicking the '+' button.
  • Select the printer from the list and add it.

Check Print Queue:

  • Open the Printers & Scanners preferences.
  • Select your HP printer and click on "Open Print Queue."
  • Check if there are any stuck print jobs. Remove them and try printing again.

 

Sonoma OS Specific:

Update to the Latest Version:

  • Check if there are any updates for the Sonoma OS on your Mac and install them. Apple frequently releases updates to address bugs and improve compatibility.
