Nope, STILL didn't work.
I followed Steps 1-4, even manually changing the network over to a new IP address and re-installing AGAIN.
I have manually set the printer's port to a TCP/IP address, still did not print. Reinstalled the driver and let it go back to its default of the "HP network re-discovery port monitor", but it still does not print.
I can print from my iPad, I can print via HP ePrint, the scanner works fine,,, but my Win7 Pro64 system (HP DV6) WILL NOT print through the print spooler. All print jobs continue to scroll off the queue like they just printed, but don't. My wife's Win10 system continues to print via the network just fine.
The new update to HP Print & Scan Doctor shows all green checks on printing, but WILL NOT print a test page,,, the job scrolls off the queue without printing.
This has gone past the point of frustrating.

"INCONCEIVABLE!!!!"
After ALL these troubleshooting attempts and HOURS wasted on re-install after re-install,,, I happened to find another thread dealing with someone working on a USB installed printer but having the same problem with their print spooler.
They recommended going to DEVICES AND PRINTERS, right click on the printer to pull up PRINTER PROPERTIES. Select ADVANCED and select PRINT DIRECTLY TO PRINTER to test bypassing the print spooler. Well of course, that's not going to work on a network system and I got the associated error msg when I attempted a print job.
So I selected back to SPOOL PRINT DOCUMENTS along with START PRINTING IMMEDIATELY as was the original selection. Gee whiz, just to try it, I hit the print job again,,, AND IT WORKED!!! I now seem to have my print spooler connected to my network printer again!! (even after several reboots now just to test it).
All I can guess is that the WIN7 Pro 64 print spooler was screwed up somewhere and all I did was reset it somehow.
