Hi @Angelabuddy
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Yes, you can print address labels of size 6 x 4 inches on self-adhesive paper using your HP DeskJet 3700 printer. Here are the steps to follow for printing labels using HP Smart on your printer:
Step-by-Step Guide for Printing Address Labels on the HP DeskJet 3700:
1. Prepare Your Printer:
- Load the labels into the printer's input tray. Make sure you place them with the adhesive side up (for most label sheets) and ensure that the paper is aligned with the right side of the tray.
- Check the paper size on your labels, ensuring that they are correctly sized to fit in the tray (in your case, 6 x 4 inches).
2. Open HP Smart App or Microsoft Word:
Using HP Smart App:
- Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
- Select your HP DeskJet 3700 printer.
- Click on the Print option.
- Select the address label template if available, or create your custom label design.
- Ensure the paper size is set to 6 x 4 inches.
Using Microsoft Word (or any label-making software):
- Open Microsoft Word or your preferred word processing software.
- Go to the Mailings tab and select Labels.
- In the Label Options dialog box, choose a template size closest to 6 x 4 inches or set a custom size by choosing the Custom option and entering the dimensions (6 x 4 inches).
- After adjusting the layout, enter the address details.
- Choose Print from the file menu.
3. Set Paper Size to 6 x 4 Inches:
- When printing labels, ensure that the document size is set to 6 x 4 inches in the Print Setup.
- In HP Smart, you can adjust the paper size settings before printing by selecting Printer Preferences.
- In Microsoft Word or other software, set the custom paper size by navigating to Page Setup or Printer Properties and entering 6 x 4 inches.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
