HI

I have an HP Color LaserJet MFP M283fdw. Everything is configured as required. 

 

But on a restart the printer loses the address book names and SMTP address. 

I have saved config, but at every reset it returns to an earlier configuration.

Check Firewall & Security Settings

 

  • Ensure your firewall or antivirus is not blocking the printer's email function.
  • If using a company network, check with IT support about SMTP restrictions.

 

Update the firmware on an HP printer


HP regularly releases new firmware versions for printer enhancements, app updates, or issue fixes. Update the firmware regularly to get the most out of your printer.

Thanks for the reply. I have tried all the below and the firmware is upto date. 

The printer still loses some config after a restart. 

SMTP gateway and address book reverts to a past saved listing

 

I have tried a factory reset but that also doesnt seem to purge all settings. 

 

Where does the printer save the config? is this a config file. Am i able to remove and start afresh
