Deskjet 4200
macOS 12.0 Monterey

The printer worked fine before, never had an issue. Using it the first time was easy - just plugged it in (USB) and it worked.

Then I finally upgraded my MacBook to Monterey (had issues with the storage so I was very late with this) and suddenly the printer stopped working. Tried for weeks to get a contact or help from HP but nothing (baddest customer service I ever experienced).

I also seem not to find the latest driver on their page.

I hope someone can help me. I don't see why I should buy a new printer when I have one that still works fine. I checked and it still works fine with my windows-pc so the printer itself isn't the problem.

@melliaxx

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,
I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue. After reading your post, I did go through the Software and driver page and found out drivers are not available for this macOS 12.0 Monterey yet.

However, you can try this recommended solution for this printer is HP Smart: Which is available in the macOS App store and HP Easy Scan

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
