My old Photosmart 7520 will not work with iMac OS Big Sur 11.2, and the only printer driver available is for version 11.0.
Can I use HP Smart to work around this dilemma? If so, how? Thanks!

Well, I don't know why Easy Start worked, but I'm glad it did! I first got a message that there was no driver available, but I clicked continue anyway, and with a couple of more clicks, I got a message that it worked. I just printed a word doc.
Thanks so much. I really appreciate your helping me to solve this problem.
Best regards.

Hi Kumar,
Thank you for the supporting documents! i downloaded HP Smart and finally got everything to work again. The printer/scanner had worked without problems for several years until the recent problem between the Catalina update and HP software.
You might want to make a note of what the original poster mentioned- that when we run Easy Start, we get to a screen that says "we were not able to automatically locate any software options for this product. Please go to the HP Website and search for product solutions there. www.hp.com/support." I had tried this, and it just put me on an endless loop of being referred back to Easy Start. It wasn't until I read the original post here that I tried just hitting "Continue" despite the error message.
I see what HP is trying to do to make this process more streamlined, but it isn't quite there yet. 😁
Thanks again for your help. After hours of getting nowhere, I was about ready to find the baseball bat and impose the final solution on this printer.

Dear Kumar, I use a 2019 Mac Pro desktop running OS 11.2.3 . The HP website that is supposed to provide access to firmware and driver updates does not work at all, none of the links appear to be active. Please pass on this unfortunate fact to the HP engineers.
