Recently reinstalled Windows 10 Pro (version 10.0.15063 build 15063). My printer now shows "no driver available". I have downloaded the new drivers (DJ2540_188.EXE) and run the installation. When I run HP Print and Scan Doctor 5 it gives me two messages: 1) The full driver solution is not installted and 2), Have you recently upgraded windows... I have been trying to correct this for a week now and just seem to be going in circles. I am in Barcelona and when I went to the store where I bought the printer they told me HP printers have problems running under Windows 10. But, prior to the reinstalation it was working tihe windows 10. Can anyone help with this?

If you did not do so the first time:
- If using a USB cable, disconnect the cable between the printer and the computer >
- Download and save a copy of the Full Feature Software > DJ2540_188.exe (102.0 MB)
- Uninstall any existing printer software from Programs and Features >
- Restart the computer and log in >
- Install the software - if using a USB cable, connect it only when instructed
- Restart the computer and log in
Printer:
HP Deskjet 2540 All-in-One Printer series

The problem has been resolved for me today by installing the "HP ePrint Software for Network and Wireless Connected Printers". After installing this and attempting to print, I also had the option to "Create printer in Printers Folder" to list the printer as named instead of the default name "HP ePrint + JetAdvantage".
This was for my HP Officejet 6812 e-All-in-One Printer.
