Operating System: macOS 11.0 Big Sur

Hi all,

 

i have bought several HP LaserJet MFP M234sdn. Very nice printers! My problem is that we use some Apple computers an i doesn´t find a printer driver. If i go to hp.com - Support - Drivers i can only find the HP Smart App if i choos MacOS. What can i do? I want to print directly without an app.

Download MAC compatible hp printer driver package to install.
Click on the link below to have the driver downloaded:

Computer-System Preferences-Printers and Scanners-click the + sign, click the printer under the name, select other software in use, search for LaserJet Professional P1100, add LaserJet Professional P1100, use LaserJet Professional P1100 to test print, thank you.

Why is it not possible to download the driver for an HP printer directly from HP? What is the point of that with the app?

I don't know, maybe it's some kind of intercompany policy.
