HP Recommended

I have a HP Laserjet 1600 DN printer. It has worked reliably for years with my previous laptop which used Windows 8. I recently purchased a new laptop ASUS that uses Windows 11. I now have to load and reload my printer driver for my HP Laserjet 1600 DN printer each time that I turn the laptop and printer on and off. It is a pain. Sometimes I have to try and reload the driver 3 or 4 times before it starts printing. It prints fine until I turn the laptop and printer off and use it again on another day. Then I must reload the driver which I have downloaded previously from HP. It is the correct driver. Any thoughts?
