I believe HP is uploading and marketing bogus software that targets 5200 and 4100 series printers' USB capability. Although they come with USB hardware, they strip the "plug and play" forcing consumers to download a software driver that they know will not work. Once the download is complete it fails to install, directing the customer afterwards to hide the download so that they may be able to download the "correct" version of the driver, thus taking 1st lein position. My question is why not just remove the bogus software in the first place? This deliberate act leaves the customer no choice but to use internet options of which can be monitored and tracked... I believe they purposefully have removed the consumer's ability to print, copy, or scan directly into computer offline....
