HP Recommended

We have several hundred printers statewide that require firmware updates to patch for MS-ISAC ADVISORY NUMBER: 2021-151.

 

My issue is that we will need to either patch each by connecting through IP or be physically at the printer.

 

Does anyone have a idea or solution for deploying firmware to the printers on a large scale?

If would need to deploy HP Web Jetadmin or HP Security Manager in order to blanket update products.

So far the Web Jetadmin tool looks very promising, however I am having 2 issues and can not get passed 2 issues.

 

1. All of the HP printers have a Device Communication Error -  Every forum and suggestion I can find is not working

2. After I load the Firmware into Jetadmin and I try browning to apply it to a printers the printer doesnt see it. - I am assuming this is because of the communication error.
