Hi @Mar128

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your OfficeJet all-in-one printer's home screen is completely blue with no options displayed, it may indicate a firmware issue or a hardware problem. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

1. Power Cycle the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds.
  • Plug it back in and turn it on.

2. Check for Paper Jams:

  • Open the printer and check for any paper jams or obstructions that may be affecting functionality.

3. Reset to Factory Settings:

  • If the printer has a reset option (usually found in the settings menu), you can try resetting it to factory settings. However, if the screen is unresponsive, you might not be able to access this.

4. Update Firmware:

  • If you can access the printer settings later, check for any available firmware updates using the HP Smart app or the HP website.

5. Perform a Hard Reset:

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds, then reconnect the power cord.
  • Turn the printer back on.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Thank you for your help. Unfortunately, there was no jam and the screen remained blue so I was unable to do anything except order a new printer. It was frustrating because the printer had worked fine and was only 5 years old. Thank you again- we did try.
