Just bought envy photo printer, at time bought ink came with photo paper, as didn't know how long would take to get via instant ink..we'll, printer still has ink that came with printer...question is should I return the ink bought at the store or ok to use it... I don't want the system to read it and charge it to my account!
Also, my cousin and I think the store rep indicated that the printer will ask me to approve to send new ink , but info on emails says will automatically send to me.. which is correct.
Finally, it says if canc the ink won't work..why if you paid for it? Can use store bought ink?
Thanks!

Hey there! @Man551, Thanks for stopping by the HP Support Community!
Are you using all the regular ink cartridges on the printer?
You can use HP compatible cartridges purchased from a store in your printer, instead of HP Instant Ink cartridges. But, unless you cancel your enrollment, you are still charged the monthly fee. If any of the ink cartridges installed in your enrolled printer are HP Instant Ink cartridges, then the pages you print are counted as plan, rollover, or additional pages.
As you are using a regular ink cartridge and an instant ink cartridge on the printer. The printer will count pages unless you replace all the cartridges on the printer with regular ink cartridges.
Also, if you are using even a single instant ink cartridge on the printer it will still count the pages and you will be billed unless you cancel the instant ink account.
“Your Instant Ink account page has data on past deliveries and estimated shipments. It also helps you understanding what state your cartridges are in based on HP’s data. Any issues will be shown with steps to fix. Please check your account page to see the latest cartridge information by signing into your account at “instantink.com”.
The HP Instant Ink billing cycle begins on the day you insert your first HP Instant Ink cartridges in your enrolled printer. Your credit or debit card is billed 30 days after you insert your first HP Instant Ink cartridges. For example, if you insert HP Instant Ink cartridges on February 5, the billing cycle begins on February 5 and ends on March 4. The first credit or debit card charge is applied on March 5. The billing date cannot be changed, and the monthly fee is charged on the same day each month while you are enrolled.
