HP Recommended

A teacher has a MBA running Tahoe and she has an HP LJ p1102w printer.   The printer is connected to the computer via USB cable.  

 

When I go to try to add the printer, the correct driver is not being applied.  If I go to search for it, CUPs doesn't have it either.   I tried to use the "InstallAssistant.pkg" to install the file but that doesn't appear to be working either.  Obviously, I can't use HP 5.1.1 printer update because the macOS is newer.

 

I need a quick and easy fix to this issue.
