HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283fdw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have eight (8) M283 printers on my network. When scrolling through the installed printers in the Smart App on my computer, they are all named the model number. I have no way to identify which printer I am using when scrolling though the installed printers. I can click on the printer and review the printer properties to find which printer I am using, but I need the ability to add a nickname or the location to the main screen. Looking at each printer's properties is not acceptable and very time consuming.

Install on your computer Web jet admin software for managing printers on the network.

@Valsimot is correct, The Smart App is really designed for a single user with a couple of printers, whereas Web Jet Admin is a management system for larger numbers of printers in a business network environment.

I have Web JetAdmin installed for management, but it's the user that has the HP Smart App installed and is connecting to multiple printers in the office. It's their application that needs a method for determining which printer they are using when scrolling through their connected printers. Something besides the model number since they are all of the same model.
