@Nikos8001, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your printer may have experienced a firmware corruption or configuration loss during the update, which can result in missing serial number and certificate issues affecting features like ePrint and Scan to Email.

Here are steps you can follow to try and resolve this:

Power Reset the Printer

Sometimes a full power cycle can help restore internal settings.

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from both the printer and the wall outlet.
  • Wait for 60 seconds.
  • Plug it back in directly to a wall outlet (avoid surge protectors).
  • Turn the printer back on.

Check Serial Number via Embedded Web Server (EWS)

  • Find your printer’s IP address (usually shown on the control panel under network settings).
  • Enter the IP address in a web browser to open the Embedded Web Server (EWS).
  • Navigate to Settings > Printer Information and check if the serial number is listed.

If the serial number is missing here, it confirms a firmware-level issue.

Reinstall Firmware Manually

You can try reinstalling the firmware manually to restore lost data.

  • Visit HP Software and Driver Downloads.
  • Enter your printer model.
  • Download the latest firmware update utility.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to reinstall the firmware.

Restore Web Services

If the certificate is invalid or missing:

  • On the printer control panel, go to Setup > Web Services Setup.
  • Choose Remove Web Services.
  • Then re-enable it by selecting Enable Web Services.
  • This should regenerate the certificate and allow ePrint/Scan to Email to work again.

Hi

I already tried this all

1.on off didn’t do anything

2. Serial and firmware problems made also date false so certificate issues through falsch serial

3. update over pc impossible, program does not allow firmware with this serial number to update

4. Eprint want activate ( false date )

5. scan to email is done ( must have google mail app password)
